米兰的圣诞节,最让人兴奋的不是商店橱窗让人眼花缭乱的节日礼品,而是面包店令人目不暇接的传统甜点潘妮托尼。但是浓郁甜美的潘妮托尼是如何诞生的呢,又如何成为了意大利圣诞节的经典甜品呢?

潘妮托尼的起源

潘妮托尼具体从何而来历史已无从考证,但随着时间的推移,诞生了许多有关它起源的传奇故事。

转危为喜

有一个潘妮托尼起源的故事可以追溯到1495年。当时的米兰公爵举办了圣诞宴会,但因为厨师操作不当,烤糊了一款甜品。

为了让宴会顺利进行,一位名为Toni的年轻厨师尝试用剩余的酸面团来制作替代品。他在酸面团中加入面粉、鸡蛋和糖进行发酵,然后在发酵而成的软面团中加入葡萄干和蜜饯等制成布里欧修面包。

这一临时制成的甜品大获成功,深受Sforza公爵喜爱,于是公爵决定以这位年轻厨师的名字来命名这款甜品,称为 “潘妮帝托尼”。

米兰爱情故事

另一个潘妮托尼起源的故事更加浪漫,主人公是一位名叫Ughetto degli Atellani的米兰贵族。他爱上了一个名叫Adalgisa的女子, 但Adalgisa出身穷苦,是一位面包店主的女儿,两人身份的差异让Ughetto无法迎娶心爱的姑娘。

为了心爱的姑娘,Ughetto隐藏了自己的身份,来到Adalgisa父亲的面包店打工。他决心制作一款甜味面包,后来在里面加入了蜜饯和葡萄干。

这款极具创意的面包一经推出就风靡米兰,为女孩父亲的面包店赢得了声誉,带来了财富,也让Ughetto娶到了心上人。

潘妮托尼的文化含义

无论潘妮托尼这一传统甜品如何诞生,其对于意大利人的重要性不言而喻,也深受世界各地数百万人的喜爱。有些潘妮托尼爱好者甚至在change.org发起请愿,要求联合国教科文组织将潘妮托尼列为宝贵文化遗产,以更好地保护这一传统甜品。
